Tring to Leighton Buzzard - The Ridegeway & Grand Union Canal

The obvious route from Tring to Leighton Buzzard would be to follow the Grand Union Canal the whole way. However, I have done that route many times on the bicycle and thought this route would be more unique and interesting.

Starting at Tring railway station me and my father made our way to the Ridgeway bridleway path via Aldbury Nowers.

We then took a detour to visit Pitstone Windmill, and joined the canal later on and went the rest of the way to Leighton Buzzard.

After arriving at Leighton we had a Wetherspoons meal, then got back to the start point (Tring Station) via the train line to Euston. Only two stops on the train. The return journey was a lot quicker!

This was a great hike and the canal going up to Leighton Buzzard was really enjoyable. We walked past two movie sets. The first being a set for Deadpool 3 at Pitstone Quarry. The other was the set from the movie Wicked next to the canal on the way up to Leighton. We saw the set of Munchkinland there.
