Walkers Safety! / Disclaimer

Just for a disclaimer - I take no responsibility for people's safety while hiking my routes. If doing long distance walking I would strongly recommend people to have a fully charged phone in case of emergencies and maybe have a backup of someone that can pick you up if you can't carry on/ or be familiar with calling a taxi/Uber.

I would also suggest people to be familiar with the route that I have uploaded. If you're navigating via your phone realise it may run out of battery as GPS navigation can be draining for phones. Especially if you're using it for most of the day. Consider getting a handheld GPS with spare batteries or a power bank to ensure you have enough charge to follow the route.

Please ensure you are fit enough to carry out these hikes as some are demanding with not only high mileage but large gradient climbs and declines which can make a big difference if not use to hiking hills.

Also please be careful crossing any roads because at times on these routes you might have to cross a busy road. Might seem obvious but even on official routes like the Greensand Way on my Leighton Buzzard to Woburn Sands home you had to cut across a fast moving A road.

Other things to consider; please take with you necessary amounts of water and food. Dress according to the weather.

If you're planning on getting a bus back or a train like I suggest then check bus timetables. In this country sometimes bus services and trains do not run the same, especially on Sundays or during strikes.

Most importantly have fun!
