Gerrards Cross to Black Park / Langley Park !
Rating: 4.1 / 5
Distance: 17 miles
A cracking hike from Gerrards Cross railway station to the outskirts of Slough. Which might not sound like that great of a hike. However, the route itself had lots of points of interest and it's possible to get back to Gerrards Cross from Slough and the north outskirts (Wexham Court) via the 106 / 107 bus.
I drove to Gerrards Cross station car park in the morning and then hiked to Hedgerley, then to Littleworth - here I joined the Beeches Way which took me through Burnham Beeches. The next highlight was Stoke Poges Common - which had ponies! After I went through Black Park & Langley Park (still following the Beeches Way path). I caught the bus back from Wexham Court to Gerrards Cross station where the car was parked. However for anyone thinking of doing this route coming from London. Then it would be possible to catch a train from Marylebone to Gerrards Cross station. Then come back via Slough to Paddington. I would recommend this one. The Beeches Way was great!
The route was very muddy when I hiked it which was the big downside. There was a lot of rain the night before and I gave up trying to keep my boots clean pretty soon into the hike. Luckily I was wearing my waterproof boots :)
I have combined two hikes into a scenery video - from Chorleywood to Gerrards Cross & Gerrards Cross to Langley Park / outskrits of Slough.
Route as always is down below. Cheers :)
