Chorleywood to Chesham hike - via Sarratt, Flaunden, Leyhill Common, Tylers Hill

Rating: 3.5 / 5

Distance: 9.9 miles

This was a pretty good hike. I hiked this in early March 2023. I went for this route as I wanted to go a different way to Chesham. The more scenic way would be to follow the Chess Valley Walk from Chorleywood House Grounds to Chesham. This route however went via Chorleywood Common, Chorleywood House Grounds, Sarratt, Flaunden, Ley Hill, Tyler's Hill and ended in Chesham's old town.

Some highlights of the hike include:
>At the top of the hill just before Chesham there was a great view of the town. There is a tree at the top that has a bunch of ribbons on it which I thought was prety cool.
>Resting on the throne seat at Ley Hill :) - I needed a bit of a rest and the seat did look nice.
>The woodlands before Flaunden.
>Also it was almost spring on this hike so some flowers like daffodils were coming out and snowbells were out.

Both Chorleywood and Chesham have railway stations on the Metropolitan line of the London Underground. There is a train that takes you back to Chorleywood from Chesham. The train journey takes 15 minutes.
