Rickmansworth to Uxbridge- Grand Union Canal

The route I hiked actually started from Chorleywood as this is where I live. However, if you're coming from further a field I would recommend starting this route from Rickmansworth and heading to Uxbridge from there. The canal is the best bit and the paths from Chorleywood to the canal at Rickmansworth aren't amazing.

There are some great lakes at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome you can explore before starting this canal hike.

Uxbridge isn't much of a place but there was a Wetherspoons there which me and my dad had a meal at.

Rickmansworth and Uxbridge are easily accessible on the metropolitan line of the London Underground. However if you're looking to go from Rickmansworth to Uxbridge along the train line you will have to go via Harrow-on-the-Hill.
