Luton to Hitchin - Pegsdon Hills & Icknield Way !
Rating: 4.1 / 5
Distance: 13 miles
A great hike me and my father completed in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire.
We drove to the outskirts of Luton, parked the car in a suburb called Stopsley, and then hiked up Warren Hill, followed the Icknield Way to the Pegsdon Hills and then hiked up Noon Hill & Deacon Hill.
The route then went via Pirton, and followed the River Oughton.
We made our way to Hitchin market square. I think Hitchin is one of the nicest towns in Hertfordshire. It is picturesque by the square.
We had a Wetherspoons meal in Hitchin, then caught the bus back to Stopsley / Luton. I would recommend this hike!
