Croxley Green to Denham

Rating: 3.0 / 5

Distance: 15 miles

This was an alright hike. Especially the first half but if I'm being honest the reason I rated this reasonably low is because post Ruislip Lido it wasn't very interesting until I reached Denham.

I reckon the hike would have been more enjoyable just hiking from Croxley Green to Ruislip Lido, and then maybe coming back via Northwood or Northwood Hills station. Rather than doing what I did which was after Ruislip Lido, going via Park Wood SSSI, River Pinn, HS2 works, Uxbridge Golf Course and Grand Union Canal, River Misbourne. It wasn't that bad of hike but my website I like to recommend really good hikes and last bit was not that great (in my view).

I thought my video of the adventure turned out nicely. However I only film the best bits so it's not always realistic of what the trip is like. There was also a fair bit of walking in residential London.

Oxhey woods were a big highlight of this trip - seeing all the bluebells and the sculpture trail. There was this really neat chainsaw carving of a TV & chair. Croxley moors was nice, there are often cows over there. If you were to do this route or part of it I would recommend going around April time when the bluebells are out. Felt very magical some of the woods I went through,
