A Winter's day hike from Godstow to Enysham (& back!)
Rating: 3.0 / 5
Distance: 8 miles
A great part of the Thames in Oxfordshire / Cotswolds that I hadn't seen before. This was my first hike around the Cotswolds area (Enysham is just on the border) and I really liked seeing the countryside. The Thames was a lot less busy around here. We rarely saw other ramblers.
It wasn't my favourite route hence the reasonably low rating, but still not a bad hike and easy for us to get to. Hence why I thought I'd share it.
We parked at Godstow car park, and then walked along the River Thames path to Eynsham lock, then made our way into the Eynsham village and back to the original car park. The route was about 8 miles long.
I wouldn't recommend going during a very wet period as the paths can get muddy / flooded.
I have more Cotswolds hikes planned!
