Upcoming Hikes!
I have been very much impressed with the Cotswolds National Landscape. The last two hikes that I have completed with my father in the area were very scenic; "Witney to Burford" & "Hanborough to Charlbury". I therefore have planned quite a few more in the Cotswolds which also look promising. Unfortunately public transport is limited in the Cotswolds, which makes exploring the region more tricky. However, there is a train line that goes through the region that has a few stops between Oxford and Evesham. None of these stops take too long for me to get to from where I live. The next cotswolds hikes are:
Charlbury to Moreton-in-Marsh - 22 miles
Moreton-in-Marsh to Evesham - 23 miles
Moreton-in-Marsh to Cheltenham - 26 miles
Kingham to Winchcombe - 24.8 miles
I also would like to hike from St Albans to Hertford this year. It's roughly 20 miles - the route looks promising and it's a local one to me as well.
Another one that is high up on my list of hikes to do would be from Henley-on-Thames to Goring in the Chilterns National Landscape.
I also want to explore the Surrey Hills, and have a route that goes via Box Hill, Holmbury Hill & Leith Hill. Three popular hills in the Surrey Hills National Landscape.
I also have hikes in the Kent Downs, High Weald & North Wessex Downs National Landscapes that are also high up on my list of hikes.
In summary I've got lots of hikes planned, not going to list them all as otherwise I would take a while! Just these are the ones that I hope to do next and also the ones that I'm looking forward to the most. Also depends on my physical health and other commitments as to how many I do. But whenever I finish a hike I will post it on this website. So have a look out for new ones added to this website this coming spring / summer.
Cheers!
